History

Concessions by Cox, Inc. is enjoying their 58th year in the food and beverage industry serving Special Events throughout the Country.  The company started in 1957 with Charles Cox selling Ice Cream from a soft Ice Cream truck and today the company bears little resemblance to its origination with the exception of its continuous offering of a family owned, hands-on management and their Consistency of personal service.  Today, Concessions by Cox has offices in two states (Ohio and Georgia) and currently plays over four hundred events a year in front of over thirty million people throughout the East Coast, South and Midwest.

Concessions by Cox, Inc. enjoys food, beverage and support service industry business at two permanent facilities offering non-fair exclusive food, beverage, alcohol and vending services at these locations.  Our current permanent facilities include the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter in Perry, Georgia and the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus Ohio.

In addition to the above venues and their events, Concessions by Cox, Inc. travels and services events throughout the East Coast, South and Midwest, serving food, beverage, alcohol, catering, and support services to Special Events ranging in all sizes.  Cox enjoys participating in State Fairs, Concerts, Auto Shows, RV Expositions, theme Holiday Events and has recently enjoyed providing food and beverage services at events such as Super Bowl, NFL Experience, The Kentucky Derby Festival, and several events at the Kentucky Motor Speedway.  A special honor and privilege was providing our services at The White House for a week long Staff Appreciation Celebration in the summer of 2000 and World Youth Days in Toronto, Canada.

Concessions by Cox, Inc. currently has in inventory over forty mobile and tented food and beverage concessions and a vast inventory of event support services (tents, tables, chairs, water and electric distribution, ticket boxes, stages, dance floors and etc. as well as strollers, wheelchairs, paddle boats.) Concessions by Cox, Inc. are also leaders in the mobile concession trailer retail industry, offering their experience and expertise.

In addition to the services provided by the company, the family and management of the company are great supporters of the event industry as a whole.  The Cox’s offer their support to National Independent Concessionaires Association, Ohio Showmen’s Association, International Independent Showmen’s Foundation, Outdoor Amusement Business Association, International Association of Fairs and Expositions and the International Festivals & Events Association and have been awarded the Circle of Excellence award by OABA.
